A loving gesture that changes a life. Through distance adoption, you support our dogs every day, providing care, food, and well-being. Even if you can’t adopt right away, you can still be there: until a forever family arrives, you are their home.
How Distance Adoption Works
Enrollment and Payments
Distance adoption is activated exclusively through the official Oasi Muso website.
It involves an automatic monthly donation, which can be modified or canceled at any time, with a receipt issued for each payment. Additional donations to support the shelter are always possible. All funds are used exclusively for the well-being of the dogs in our care.
Updates and Communication
Each adopter receives regular updates about their sponsored dog, including photos, information on health and behavior, and videos sharing moments from daily life. Upon request, direct contact or visits to the shelter can be arranged by appointment. The goal is to build a genuine, ongoing, and respectful relationship.
Transparency
Donations are used for food, routine veterinary care, medications, and the overall well-being of the animals. Oasi Muso shares an annual summary report with adopters.
Legal Aspects
Distance adoption does not involve any transfer of ownership and does not replace permanent adoption. Oasi Muso retains full legal and managerial responsibility for the dog and ensures that personal data is handled in compliance with current privacy regulations.

Adopter Involvement
Each adopter receives a digital distance adoption certificate. It is also possible to dedicate or gift a distance adoption and receive communications on special occasions.

Organization and Monitoring
The project is managed by a dedicated coordinator together with the Oasi Muso staff and volunteers, following structured procedures for updates and communication. The project is monitored by assessing its impact on the dogs’ well-being and the level of adopter involvement, while also encouraging potential permanent adoptions.
